Navigating the challenges and opportunities in the Age of AI

Let Arts Thrive

Mission

Hi.  We are Useful.

Useful Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed for the charitable purpose of promoting a more equitable creative economy in the era of generative artificial intelligence by supporting creative workers, such as artists, designers, musicians, videographers, and others engaged in creative professions, in navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by these technologies.

Useful Arts takes a pragmatic approach to support the creative community.  We advocate and facilitate transparency through our Creative AI Use Disclosure (CAUD) initiative,  provide educational resources, and share stories and perspectives from the creative community on how technology impacts creativity and their works.

We strive to foster a thriving environment for artists to navigate industry disruptions and protect their livelihoods while advancing the arts.  Through advocacy and awareness, we aim to sustain and protect economies producing arts and creative works, ensuring a sustainable future for the artistic community.
