A research and information-gathering initiative that captures and articulates the impact of AI on the creative community — grounded in lived experience — and puts those voices in front of the people working to build a better future alongside them, so that creativity and the creative economy can continue to thrive.

WHAT WE DO

Turning creative experience into structured insight

AI regulations and copyright law are still being written. As governments and institutions work to understand technology's impact on industries, economies, and culture, the decisions they make will reshape the creative economy for decades — and the people most affected deserve a place in those conversations.

"We need voices from the creative community in that process – not after the fact."

Creative Lens is how we get them there. We gather, structure, and translate real creative experiences  into insights that reach the rooms where new rules of the game are made.

AI changes the equation for all of them.

But here is the problem: we don't yet know how this will unfold or who will win and who will lose as the landscape shifts. What we do know is that better outcomes require more perspectives. Creative Lens exists to gather them and to make sure the voices of creators are part of the conversations shaping what AI in creative work actually becomes.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER

Behind every creative economy statistic is someone trying to keep going.

THE POTENTIAL UPSIDE

AI has the potential to be one of the most powerful tools creators have ever had access to. It can lower barriers, expand what's possible, and open creative territory that didn't exist before. 

THE POTENTIAL HARM

​It also has the potential to do serious harm. Compressed margins for people already operating on thin ones. Obscured authorship. Human creative work replicated at scale without compensation or credit.

Structured focus gorups with creative communities, capturing what they're experiencing, worried about, and need when it comes to working in the industry infused with AI

STRUCTURE

Synthesizing qualitative input into clear insights, like themes, language, gaps, and patterns that turn individual stories into collective intelligence and standardized taxonomy.

TRANSLATE

Delivering those insights to policymakers, standards bodies, and industry, so that creators, technologists, and governments can engage from a place of shared understanding rather than information asymmetry.
